A note from Amanda…
When I dreamt of getting married in my 20’s and 30’s I would dream of a big white dress, a church and a huge party afterwards.
My dream man didn’t find his way into my life until I was in my mid 40’s. In the meantime I’d seen people married on beaches, hillsides and in inflatable churches at festivals. This turned into a new dream, a wedding doesn’t have to be so formal , why can’t people say I do in a field in front of friends and it have the same meaning as a church.
The big white dress appeal had transitioned into wedding wellies and fun in a field.
Paul my husband and I have now had two weddings. The first was in a field at a festival. The inflatable church was not available so friends created our own ceremony set among the camper vans. They created the speeches and the ceremony. It was magical. Our ‘ official ‘ wedding was cancelled due to covid and so we were married on Christmas Eve in lock down in a registry office.
Afterwards friends joined us at a special outdoor space to drink mulled wine from a flask and celebrate the official tying of the knot. This too was totally magical. Every wedding is special, every wedding is perfect, on the day it is the two of you, your ceremony your way, your friends and family. I love doing things differently and both my weddings were the best days of my life. One impromptu and created with love by friends, one planned and cancelled and then one so unique, rescheduled due to circumstance.
Both days like all weddings bathed in love and happiness.
I love weddings having had two already to the same husband and will definitely be having a vow renewal in a few years. I’m here to help you create your own magic and be confident in your choice to do your day your way.
